Our Essence
Our History
Huellas Latinas was born in Minnesota during a time of profound uncertainty: in the midst of the pandemic, when many people felt isolated, disconnected, and far from nature. What began as a community initiative to go for walks together, share time outdoors, and reconnect with nature, grew organically and powerfully.
Since its inception, Huellas Latinas has been a gathering place for the Latino community, where nature becomes a bridge to well-being, belonging, and collective care. Since 2021, we have accompanied more than 3,434 people on outdoor experiences that promote well-being, leadership, and a sense of belonging.
Over the years, the organization has expanded its activities, programs, and partnerships, reaching families, young people, and adults who seek to reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the natural world.
Today, almost five years after its founding, Huellas Latinas is a strong and growing organization, committed to creating inclusive, safe, and culturally relevant spaces where the Latino community can explore, learn, and feel a part of the natural world.
Our Mission
Connecting Latino communities to outdoor experience in nature that provide well-being and belonging.

Our Vision
Inspiring generations to feel at home outdoors.
Our Values

We live these values in every hike, in every conversation, and in the way we care for our community, both in and out of nature.
