St. Croix Kayak Experience
Celebrate 5 years of adventures with Huellas Latinas from a new perspective: the water.

We invite you to paddle the calm waters of the St. Croix River, explore one of Minnesota’s most beautiful landscapes, and share an experience filled with nature, community, and fun.

As part of our “5 Years • 5 Experiences • One Community” series, this adventure is a chance to break out of your routine, try something new, and create memories that will stay with you long after you return to shore.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your first time in a kayak or if you’re already experienced. What matters is coming ready to explore, connect, and enjoy the journey.

🛶 A unique on-the-water experience
🌿 Nature, adventure, and community
💛 Every participation supports Huellas Latinas

Thanks to our partnership with Taylor’s Falls Canoe & Kayak Rental, a $5 donation will be made to Huellas Latinas for every kayak rented. This helps us continue creating opportunities for more Latino families to discover the well-being and joy of the outdoors.

Join us to paddle, explore, and celebrate five years of making a mark together.

Nature Journaling Experiences

It all begins when we learn to observe.

In this experience, we will learn to slow down, observe more closely, and discover nature from a new perspective.

Through a guided walk in the beautiful Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden, we will explore how nature journaling can become a tool for well-being, curiosity, and connection with the environment.

During the experience, we will also learn about park navigation, outdoor safety, “Leave No Trace” principles, and the importance of protecting the natural spaces we share.

As part of the Latino Park Stewardship & Leadership Initiative, this will be the first of five experiences designed to help our community connect with nature, develop leadership skills, and become future Latino Park Stewards.

We look forward to making our mark together!
