Hiking & Camping Trips

As time passes, our participants acquire knowledge and skills in outdoor activities. Additionally, they show a consistent enthusiasm for exploring new destinations, undertaking more challenging hikes, and even venturing to spend nights in parks.

The Hiking & Camping Trips program provides families and members of our Latino community with the opportunity to develop new skills in the natural environment, recognizing the significant benefits these experiences bring to individuals’ physical, mental, and emotional health.

These activities take place in regional and state parks, offering an excellent opportunity to build relationships with new people, strengthen friendships, and foster a sense of community.

All of our outdoor activities provide an inclusive environment and welcome individuals of all races, genders, ages, nationalities, religions, sexual orientations, and ability levels, as well as their pets. We believe that everyone can benefit, have fun, and learn about recreation in Minnesota.

Our activities are designed to cater to both beginners and experienced individuals, with difficulty levels ranging from easy to challenging. They may include camping, backpacking, road trips, night hikes, and other complementary activities for learning, entertainment, and enjoyment.

Since 2021, this program has been developed in collaboration with important partners such as Minnesota State Parks and Trails.
