Join Huellas Latinas and staff with Minnesota Scientific and Natural Areas (SNAs) to learn about these state owned lands as we explore an example of one, Pine Bend Bluffs SNA. Find out what the science is and what is natural about these areas. You’ll see unique plants, and likely some wildlife, in this natural area. You’ll learn how these sites are protected and managed, what activities are allowed, and opportunities they provide for scientific research.

No experience necessary, just come with your curiosity and enthusiasm. Bring water, snacks, and dress for the weather. Footwear appropriate for outdoor hiking is recommended as we will explore areas with no maintained trails on uneven ground. One more thing, these areas have no facilities. Be sure to come prepared. We only have 20 spots available.
